Ramey Kemp & Associates, Inc. is currently looking for a Drainage Engineer to manage the Hydraulic Design Group for their Raleigh, NC office. Working with an experienced team of highway design engineers, the successful candidate will be involved in highway design projects by providing designs for all drainage/storm water plans, storm water management, erosion control and permitting. Responsibilities will include performing and reviewing technical work, mentoring and staff development, business development, and project management including writing proposals for state DOTs, city and county government, and private development projects throughout the southeast Service offerings will include storm water drainage system design, storm water handling facility design, erosion and sedimentation control designs, storm water permitting and compliance, and environmental permitting and compliance. Experience in Microstation/Geopak and/or Autocad/Civil 3D a plus.
The successful candidate will have a BS in civil engineering, registered as a professional engineer (PE) in NC, and a minimum of 10 years of drainage/storm water experience on roadway projects and knowledge of all current drainage design and modeling software.
Ideal candidate will have experience managing and marketing hydraulic and storm water projects with NCDOT and other state DOTs, and the private development community. Candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

The primary duties of the Senior Hydro-Mechanical Engineer relate to design efforts on hydroelectric power plant projects across North America. Projects will include both life extension and upgrade of existing power generating facilities as well as design of new power generation facilities. Will provide field support during installation, testing and start-up of hydro equipment in the field. Establishes client relations, and is involved with the marketing, design and field implementation meetings with regard to hydro mechanical equipment and associated auxiliary systems. In addition, will support licensing and regulatory activities. Will provide support for business development and marketing efforts. For certain projects, may serve as a Project Manager in addition to serving in a lead technical role. As a Senior Engineer/PM, you will be expected to plan, organize, and supervise the work performed by engineering professionals and technicians from offices across the company on various projects.
Experience Required:Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university; PE required. Candidate must have 10+ years experience in design and operational support of conventional and pumped storage hydroelectric generating stations. Experience with the design and testing of mechanical equipment including turbines, pump-turbines, pumps, large valves, compressors and other mechanical components. Demonstrated leadership skills, previous team coordination and project management experience. Previous experience with a consulting engineering firm, A&E, EPC or Utility in a hydro facilities design capacity is required. Field work and occasional overnight travel will be required.

Mulkey Engineers & Consultants is seeking a Transportation (Roadway Design) Project Engineer/Project Manager for our Charlotte, NC office. This position will be responsible for engineering design, calculations, CADD support and project assistance to the Transportation Group. This individual will be responsible for completing roadway design plans with limited supervision and completing project tasks within deadlines and allotted project budgets. The ideal candidate will have a BSCE or BSCET in Civil Engineering, have a minimum of 8 years of roadway design or other transportation related work experience and a PE license. Also, the candidate should have knowledge of MicroStation and GEOPAK software. Knowledge of SCDOT and City of Charlotte transportation standards is preferred.
