Engineering Firm Member
This member type represents any individual businesses, parent companies, branch offices, divisions or subsidiaries whose resident key executives are licensed to furnish professional engineering services to the built environment in the State of North Carolina and appropriately registered with the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors.
Member Firms represent a full array of engineering disciplines and services. All Member Firms must maintain simultaneous membership in ACEC/NC's national affiliate, the American Council of Engineering Companies.
Full Members must be an incorporated business in the State of North Carolina that provides professional engineering services to the built environment such as; Sole Proprietorships, Partnerships, Corporations, or Limited Liability Businesses (LLC, LP, LLP).
Associate Member
This member type is for sole proprietors, businesses, parent businesses, branch offices, divisions, subsidiaries, and/or organizations that support the goals of ACEC/NC and provide professional services of a scientific and technical nature that are complementary to the service provided by Engineering Firm Members, provided those managing the services are professionally licensed, certified, or registered as appropriate in that area of expertise.
Associate Members may include, but not be limited to, architects, archaeologists, biologists, botanists, environmental scientists, geologists, landscape architects, land surveyors, testing labs, planners, soil scientists, computer engineers (or other engineering disciplines not requiring Licensure by the state of North Carolina) and construction management businesses.
Affiliate Member
This member type is for sole proprietors, businesses, parent businesses, branch offices, divisions, and/or organizations that support the goals of ACEC/NC, the engineering industry, and provide professional services or products used in the internal operation of Engineering Firm Members or Associate Members.
Partners and Affiliate Members may include businesses which provide professional services in areas such as accounting, banking and finance, IT, insurance, legal, marketing, graphic design, communications or which provide products such as construction materials, software, etc.
Through membership, Partner/Affiliates gain the opportunity to network with industry leaders through networking and educational programs, discipline specific committee work, broader interest forums and social and professional membership events.
Business Partner
This member type is for corporations and/or organizations that provide services, products, and solutions to support the organizational infrastructure, business workflows, back-office functions, daily operations, culture, and business growth of ACEC/NC or ACEC National.
Business Partners may include companies who provide products, services, financial solutions, information technology and infrastructure, professional processes, etc.
Through membership, this category provides companies the opportunity to partner with engineering firms, companies, or affiliate organizations. Increase visibility within the ACEC/NC network; participate in select sponsorships, member networking events, educational programming, and business development opportunities.
Banks and financial institutions · Investment and wealth management firms · Insurance and risk management companies · Software and technology companies · Professional services firms · Accounting and consulting firms · Recruiting and workforce solutions companies · Equipment and technology providers · Legal and business advisory firms · Other corporations seeking to develop relationships with engineering firms and ACEC/NC.
Business Partner membership is ideal for companies looking to grow their presence within North Carolina’s engineering community and develop relationships with the firms and leaders who shape the industry.
