Political Action Committees (PACs)
A strong tool for ensuring industry growth and member success!
ACEC/NC works with two different political action committees to advance our agenda, supporting the consulting engineering industry and AEC issues in general. PACs are pools of funds collected from a specific group for the purpose of supporting allies in the General Assembly (state PAC) or Congress (federal PAC). Supporting the PACs is completely voluntary, and funds can only be collected from personal accounts. There are NO corporate contributions or reimbursement by employers permitted.

ACEC PAC
The ACEC PAC is operated by our national association, the American Council of Engineering Companies of NC. It is used to support candidates for Congress, and collects funds from all 51 state MOs. ACEC/NC is a collection agent for this PAC and sends all contributions to the national association for the administration of the PAC’s contributions and disbursements. You can see how much our national PAC raises by visiting the acec.org website, and you will find “ACEC PAC” under the advocacy tab. Last year, ACEC/NC set a record for the most funds contributed by members to the national PAC. | ![]() |

CECNC PAC
The CECNC-PAC is the state PAC of ACEC/NC. Just like our national PAC, it helps us identify and support allies who share our views on AEC issues, but in the NC General Assembly. Your state PAC is governed by a Board of Trustees, who conduct fundraising activities, file reports to the Board of Elections, and make decisions on which candidates to fund. While we try to make our fundraising events enjoyable for members, you can also contribute any time by using the button below. Member firms are prohibited from directly contributing to the PAC, however, member firms can help with fundraising expenses by contributing on their dues invoices in the appropriate place. |
