Donald Malone

Don Malone is an experienced Sr. Remediation Engineer / Program Manager in the Raleigh, North Carolina area, and provides a wide range of progressive, professional skills including the management of environmental site investigation and remediation projects, team development/leadership, and business development. Mr. Malone has over 36 years of experience with characterizing and remediating chemically contaminated sites, and has developed numerous corrective action plans, technical specifications, and/or contract documents for innovative remediation technologies including several modes of in situ thermal remediation (i.e., electrical-resistive heating, thermal conductive heating, and hot-water recirculation), chemical reduction (redox manipulation), in situ reductive dechlorination, air sparging, bioventing, soil-vapor extraction, dual-phase extraction, phytoremediation, nutrient-enhanced bioremediation (land farming), pump-and-treat, and natural attenuation. He has also developed technical specifications and bid documents to remove lead bullets and lead-impacted soils from a former machine gun abutment. Other experiences include the development of detailed work plans and bid documents to surgically excavate soils and buried laboratory waste containers from two former chemical waste burial areas.
