Nicholas Hopper

Nicholas Hopper holds bachelor’s degrees in both Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering and is a registered professional engineer in the state of North Carolina. He started his career designing industrial control systems such as SCADA systems in the Water, Wastewater, and power generation sectors. He is now a Control Systems Cybersecurity Engineer responsible for planning, design development, commissioning, and construction administration of industrial control system (ICS) / Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity. Nicholas has cybersecurity experience with translating Information System (IS) focused controls to be adapted to an Operational Technology (OT) environment, system compliance against industry standards and guidances, and general consulting on the reasoning and benefits of incorporating cybersecurity requirements. Nicholas has also taken role in project management of delivering cybersecurity services to end users alongside industry partners to adopt a broader acceptance and standard of OT Cybersecurity into system design.
