Description
ACEC/NC & PENC Environmental and Energy Education & Networking Event –
Preparing for the Future
Over the last decade great strides were gained in developing a sharper understanding of our environmental responsibility and the things that need increased attention. Risks such as climate change, increased flooding, and emerging contaminants became increasingly apparent as well as the need for greater focus on renewable and more efficient energy. Looking forward into 2020, how can this knowledge be used to continue building on what has been learned and most importantly preparing for the future?
Join us on Thursday February 27th for an event focused around this question. As engineers, consultants, and professionals who are involved in the environment, we have a first-hand perspective on the impacts being realized and need to understand further what may be available in the future to improve on the built environment. You will have the opportunity to hear from NCDEQ, NCDOT, Private Industry, academia, and others, to better understand our risks and recognize the tools that we can implement to advance our profession.
