The NCDOT Structures Management Unit (SMU) has coordinated with the NCDOT Construction Unit Regional Bridge Construction Engineers to hold forums in both Charlotte (3/11/2020) and Raleigh (3/25/2020) to discuss common errors, lessons learned and constructability issues that are often overlooked in design, including items that are applicable to roadway and hydraulics interaction with structures design. The forum will focus on integrating construction processes into design practices and collaboration to improve design and construction working in tandem. Speakers will be Mr. Aaron Earwood, PE and Mr. Cameron Cochran, PE, Regional Bridge Construction Engineers for Divisions 1-6, 8, and Divisions 7, 9-14, respectively.
